Amy Winehouse - Winehouse Faces Lawsuit Over Scrapped Gig

The organisers of a French music festival ar threatening legal action against AMY WINEHOUSE after the troubled isaac Merrit Singer pulled out of the event at the final minute.

Winehouse was due to headline the three-day Rock En Seine festival in Paris on Friday (29Aug08) in a line up that as well included young man British singer Kate Nash.

But she cancelled the appearance after being interpreted ill at her Camden, London home just hours before she was due to fly to France.

A interpreter for the Back to Black hitmaker issued a statement apologising for the cancellation, merely insisted that the star topology did non need infirmary treatment.

The spokesman says, "Amy Winehouse was regrettably unable to perform at the Rock En Seine show in Paris, Friday August 29, due to sickness. She was taken sick at her house and wasn't capable to trip to France for the concert."

But organisers claim they were granted just deuce hours notice that the star would not be appearing and were not given an adequate reason for her cancellation.

Festival bosses have released a statement via their website locution they ar now considering taking legal action against Winehouse.

Spears' father and lawyer still in charge

A try in California has extended the conservatorship over vocalist Britney Spears' personal affairs for five-spot months.

Print of Vincent Ward film up in smoke

A global search has been launched for a copy of Vincent Ward's film What Dreams May Come after it was destroyed in Universal Studios' Hollywood fire.

Ward directed the 1998 Academy Award winning romantic fantasy starring Robin Williams and Cuba Gooding Jr, which is set to feature in a retrospective of his work at an international film festival in Poland next month.

Greytown-born Ward, who also directed River Queen, Map of the Human Heart and Vigil, was contacted by organisers of the Era New Horizons Film Festival asking for help tracking down a new copy.

Artistic director Joanna Lapinska told him a print of What Dreams May Come was booked to screen at the festival.

However, it was ruined in the dramatic blaze earlier this month.

Roots Manuva announces new album details

Roots Manuva has revealed that he will release a new album, 'Slime & Reason', on August 25.

The album, which will be the London rapper's fourth album of original material, will be preceded by a single, 'Buff Nuff', out on June 30. The single was produced by Toddla T.

The tracklisting and cover art for the album are yet to be revealed.
